WATCH: Bradley Beal Reveals The Reason He Signed With Clippers

During a recent interview with KMOV's Tamar Sher, shooting guard Bradley Beal explained why he chose to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Bradley Beal has done a lot of losing over the course of his career. While he and John Wall did combine for some impressive seasons in Washington, the Wizards were largely a pretty bad team.

The shooting guard then moved to Phoenix to team with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, but thanks in part to injuries, the team didn't reach the heights they hoped to.

The Suns blew things up this offseason, trading Durant to the Houston Rockets in a deal that netted them Jalen Green. Phoenix also made the choice to waive and stretch Beal, allowing him to sign with a team of his choosing.

Beal's choice was the Los Angeles Clippers, a team already loaded with future Hall of Famers like Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, and Chris Paul and other strong veterans like Brook Lopez, John Collins, and Bogdan Bogdanovich.

To Beal, the decision was easy. He told Sher:

"I need a ring. You know, I want one bad. And I feel like I've got a new life, a rejuvenation. For sure, a new hunger. I'm exccited about the new opportunity. A new city. A new environment. But a hungry environment too."

Beal isn't the 30-point-per-game player he once was but is still a very good and efficient scorer. He averaged 17 points per game last season, shooting 49% from the field and 38% from three.
