Warriors Start Off Homestand With a Solid Win

The Golden State Warriors need to build some momentum. They currently sit at 20–18 and are only the 8th seed in the Western Conference. To avoid the Play-In Tournament and start looking like legitimate title contenders, they are going to need to start racking up some wins.

Part of the Warriors' bad record can be blamed on a super-difficult schedule to start the season. They also had some bad injury luck.

That’s why this next stretch of the season is so important for the Warriors. They will finally have a solid stretch of games at home, and with some pretty favorable opponents. If they can string together a good stretch of wins, they could get themselves closer to escaping the dreaded Play-In Tournament.

The Warriors played the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, the first of eight straight home games. The Warriors handled the Bucks 120–113, a win they are hoping to use as a momentum builder for the next few weeks.

As usual, the Warriors were led by Stephen Curry, who scored 31 points and had seven assists and six rebounds in the game. He also put the cherry on top of the win by hitting a late-game jumper and whipping out his patented “Night Night” celebration.

The vibes are good around Golden State. They’ve won four of their last six, and the upcoming schedule should allow them to build on that.

Up next are the Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers, and a bunch of Eastern Conference teams. If the Warriors are going to be anything this season, this is the time to prove it.
