Eastern Conference Team Continue To Be Linked To All-Star Domantas Sabonis

The Sacramento Kings have been struggling for much of the 2025–26 season, and while there are many reasons for this, injuries have played a huge part as well. The biggest injury has revolved around star big man Domantas Sabonis, who has been out of action for months now, and given that the team is just 8–29 in 37 games, it appears as though they're ready to sell off some key veterans.

That includes Sabonis, who has constantly been linked to a move throughout the season, with many teams interested in the All-Star center.

One team that has continually been linked to Sabonis is the Toronto Raptors, with Brett Siegel recently reiterating that the interest in Sabonis is real, naming Toronto as a genuine landing spot for him.

Right now, this is a team that relies on the young core of Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and Brandon Ingram, and the infusion of an All-Star veteran like Sabonis could be just what this team needs to take a step forward. Unfortunately for them, there will be competition to land Sabonis, as his style is very conducive to success, especially in the NBA Playoffs, with several contenders hoping to add him to play either at the four or the five.

Ultimately, the Raptors would be the perfect landing spot for Sabonis, and while it's unclear exactly what they would offer to get him, if they can keep their core intact, this could make them a genuine contender in the East.
