Bradley Beal Reveals Whether His Long Term Plans Are With Clippers
Sep 30, 2025
Bradley Beal is one of the most intriguing pickups of the NBA offseason. After an underappreciated season in Phoenix, where he averaged 17 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds on an efficient 49.7% field goal percentage and 38.6% from three, Beal was bought out by the Suns this offseason and signed on to join the veteran Los Angeles Clippers.
The Clippers have now put together what would have been a superteam in 2018, hoping that their veterans have a year or two left in the tank.
Beal will be a key piece of their rotation. As one of the younger key players on the roster, the pressure is on for Beal to perform. The question is, after signing a short-term contract with the Clippers, how long does Beal plan to stay in LA?

During the Clippers media day, Beal let people know about his plans for the rest of his career.
“100%. My wife is from here, so that made the transition a little smoother and easier for us, but I love it, man. I love being here. I'm usually here every offseason working out anyways, so it wasn't too big of an adjustment for me, living-wise. I'm very acclimated with L.A. It was just more where basketball was gonna be best for me. I hope I can finish here. That's the goal, that's the end goal. It's something that me and L. Frank talked about. Obviously, you've got to continue to produce, continue to help lead this team to wins, and the future will take care of itself.”
This could be ideal for the Clippers. It sounds like the Clippers and Kawhi Leonard could be heading towards a divorce in the next couple of seasons. Beal could be a nice replacement for some of his scoring volume.
For the Clippers, building a team for the future around Beal isn’t ideal. However, that doesn’t mean they shouldn't try to keep him on the team for a reasonably priced contract. If Beal wants to stay and isn’t asking for too much money, the Clippers may want to extend him this offseason.
