Team Canada's AmeriCup Roster Features Rising NBA Players

Canada basketball released their roster for the AmeriCup Tournament in August and it features multiple NBA players.

TSN reporter Josh Lewenberg wrote on his X account:
"Canada Basketball announced a 14-man camp roster for this summer, which features NBAers Kyshawn George and Leonard Miller + some vets of the program. They’ll train in Toronto this week before playing exhibition games in Miami & travelling to Nicaragua for the AmeriCup in late Aug."
While Canada's national team features stars like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, RJ Barrett and Jamal Murray, this 14 man roster doesn't feature quite as much star power, Still, there are some very notable names on the list.
That includes Kyshawn George, a guard for the Washingtonm Wizards. He was born in Switzerland to a Canadian father who was playing professionally overseas. George played significant minutes for the Wizards last year after being drafted out of the University of Miami. He made 38 starts and averaged 8.7 points with 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
Leonard Miller will also be playing for Team Canada. It wasn't long ago that Miller was considered to be one of the best prospects in North America. He chose to play in the G-League Ignite rather than playing college basketball and has been a member of the Timberwolves over the last two seasons. He has yet to crack the team's rotation.
One-time first-round pick Mfiondu Kabengele helps to round out the roster. Kabengele, an uber-athletic big man, played in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics. He played last season for Dubai basketball.
