Stephen Curry Gives Injury Update on Hurt Knee on Live Television

How much longer is Stephen Curry going to be out for? Because there hasn’t been a super clear timetable for his return announced, people are starting to wonder about the severity of his knee injury and the expected return date. With players of Curry’s age (and importance) a team can never be too careful about when to bring their injured star. One thing is clear though, the Warriors desperately need Curry on the court if they want to have any hope of winning a playoff series or even making it out of the Play-In Tournament.

Curry was recently asked about his knee during a live broadcast of the most recent Warriors game. His response didn’t necessarily inspire hope for Warriors fans.

“I’m feeling better. This is a weird one. It’s kind of unpredictable how it’ll heal, but everyday since All-Star weekend has been progress and that’s all I could ask for and hopefully I’m back out soon. It’s gonna be a little longer, but like I said right now with this one, it’s just about can each day, can you stack good days, and I’ve done that. So hopefully they can unleash me on the court soon and get back out there sooner than later. I haven’t gotten on the court yet but just trying to stay in shape, strengthen everything else around my body knowing that at this stage, once you get back it’s kind of a full sprint to the playoffs. So once I get back on the court, it is a little bit of a pain tolerance thing, but it’s just something that you don’t want to have lingering because it can get worse.”

Curry revealing that he hasn’t started to play yet means he isn’t that close to returning. The Warriors are trying to hang onto their spot in the Western Conference standings. With every passing game without Curry, they may see themselves fall deeper in the standings. Hopefully, Curry can start healing a bit faster, because without him, the Warriors aren’t threatening anyone.
