New York Knicks Clearly Targeting Two Intriguing New Orleans Pelicans

The New York Knicks came just one step from reaching the NBA Finals a year ago, and with the team adding talent in the off-season, the belief was that they could dominate the Eastern Conference in 2025–26. However, the team has been faltering as of late, posting a record of 4–9 in their last 13 games, and while they still sit third in the East, the belief is that there are some changes on the way.

Recently, there has been some speculation surrounding star big man Karl-Anthony Towns, and while it's no guarantee that he's moved, the team has its eyes on some major upgrades. According to a report from Michael Scotto, the team is eyeing up two New Orleans Pelicans players in Yves Missi and Jose Alvarado, both of whom could be made available by the struggling team.

As of right now, it's unclear whether or not the team is targeting both in a singular deal or if it's one or the other, but given the impact they could make for their bench unit, both would be fantastic pickups for the Knicks. Given the way that the team has struggled lately, it's likely that they are looking to make a blockbuster change, and while neither represents that, they would be fantastic depth changes for New York.
