Draymond Green Helps Clarify Warriors' GM's Controversial Statements

Jonathan Kuminga and his camp want out of Golden State. Kuminga has been looking to leave the team for a larger role for a while now, and the Warriors have been trying to find him a new home. Unfortunately, the Warriors have been unable to find a return they deem satisfactory.

Kuminga even demanded a trade from the Warriors, and when Mike Dunleavy Jr. was asked about it, he said there needs to be demand on the market for a trade.

This caused Kuminga’s agent to tweet a sassy response on the definition of supply and demand.

Draymond Green recently chimed in on what he thought Dunleavy meant by his comments.

“Dunleavy—went viral for his comments on JK’s trade demand. He said, 'I’m aware of that. In terms of demands—when you make a demand, there needs to be demand in the market.' When I first read the quote, I was like, 'That’s spicy.' And then when you actually watch the clip, you’re like, 'Oh, I get what he was saying.' He’s answering the question about—yes, I know they made a trade demand—but there has to be demand. In order for there to be demand, we gotta scour the market. We’re going to search the market and see what demand there is there.”

A lot of people took Dunleavy’s comments out of context. That’s what will happen when your team is dealing with a toxic situation. Still, no matter what Dunleavy meant, it’s clear that the Warriors’ management is not happy with how this is all going. Hopefully, they can find a buyer soon and rid themselves of the bad vibes surrounding the Kuminga situation.
