Malik Beasley Reportedly Eyeing A Move Overseas For His Next Contract

Last season was a stellar campaign for Malik Beasley with the Detroit Pistons, as he played a key role in the team's surprising turnaround as they once again returned to the NBA Playoffs. Beasley's 16 points a game was the highest since the 2020/21 campaign for the veteran sharp shooter, with his 42% from beyond the arc making him one of the best three-point shooters in the game.

However, his off-season was full of drama, as he was linked to the ongoing betting scandal that surrounds the NBA, although thus far, he's been cleared. That involvement did cost him a major free agency deal, as the 29-year old remains a free agent without an NBA team for the future.

Now, we know where his next contract will likely be signed, with Eurohoopsnet reporting that he is ready to sign a six-month deal worth $2 million with Partizan Belgrade based in Serbia.

As of right now, the deal hasn't been made official, but with NBA teams likely not looking to add Beasley anytime soon, a move to Europe would be the best and most logical move for the former first-round draft pick.

At 29-years of age however, there's still plenty of time for Beasley to perform well and get himself a new free agency deal in the NBA, but with all of the drama that's surrounded him, there was clearly too much baggage for an NBA team to take a chance on him this summer.
