Here's Snoop Dogg Hilariously Reacting To Steve Kerr's Ejection From Clippers-Warriors Game

Any time a head coach gets ejected from an NBA game, tempers are flaring, and tensions are running high. One guest commentator, however, was on a different high as he watched a situation unfold on the West Coast.

Monday night, iconic rapper Snoop Dogg was on the call for the Golden State Warriors-Los Angeles Clippers game at Intuit Dome. A few minutes into the fourth quarter of this matchup, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr blew his gasket after getting frustrated with the officiating throughout the game. Following a missed goaltending call on Clippers forward John Collins, Kerr stormed on the court to give referees a piece of his mind.

With unmatched lyrical mastery, Uncle Snoop called it as he saw it.

“Back him up, GP! Steve raining fire on ‘em!“ A pumped-up Snoop Dogg said on the Peacock broadcast. “Woo-hoo, Steve’s banging Inglewood. Get ‘em, Steve. You in Inglewood, Steve!”

The “Drop Like It’s Hot” rapper, of course, knows exactly what it means to get into a fight on the proud shores of California. Giving Peacock subscribers their money’s worth, Snoop went so far as to give a shoutout to Kerr’s alma mater.

“The Arizona Wildcat done came out. Look at him.” Viewers then heard Snoop growling as if to simulate the sound of a wildcat.

Though Snoop lightened the mood during this scene, there was barely any reason for Kerr (who was subsequently ejected) and his Warriors to smile at the end of the game, as they lost 103-102 to a Clippers squad sans James Harden. Kawhi Leonard led the way with 24 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists, and all his other starters finished with double-digit scoring as well.

Both teams struggled to shoot from outside in this game, but the Clippers were able to hold the Warriors to an overall shooting clip of 38.0% while making 48.1% of their total shots. A 21-13 third-quarter performance from the home team gave them some cushion to withstand an explosive fourth quarter from the Dubs.

The final score, however, isn’t top of mind for fans when they think of this game. Just as he’s done with so many songs in his illustrious music career, guest commentator Snoop Dogg gave the world a sound bite that they can’t get out of their head.
