Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Names His Oklahoma City Thunder Mount Rushmore

The Oklahoma City Thunder have a rich, storied history despite only becoming an organization after taking over the history of the Seattle SuperSonics back in 2008. In that time, they've made the NBA Finals twice, winning their first championship in 2024–25 while having some of the biggest stars the league has ever seen.

Right now, they're led by reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but they've also seen the likes of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook all come through, two of whom won the award while being with the Thunder. Now, a tough question has been posed to SGA, as he was asked to name his 'Mount Rushmore' of the Thunder organization, and he's given some amazing answers.

Despite having some amazing teammates, this is who SGA believes are the best four players in the short 17-year history of the Thunder.

"Russ, KD, James, and Paul George."

While George is debatable, the trio that led them to the 2012 NBA Finals is likely a lock for most people, with many believing that SGA should take up that final spot after his MVP and championship run this past season.

When it's all said and done, Durant and Westbrook both won MVPs with the organization, but with the likes of Jalen Williams, SGA, and Chet Holmgren, the Thunder's Mount Rushmore could one day be full of this current group. For now, though, this is a fairly accurate list from SGA, although most people would place him, rather than Paul George, in the final spot.
