Lou Williams Builds Monster Team With $15 Budget
Aug 21, 2025
Former electric bench scorer Lou Williams recently did a heck of a job constructing an unstoppable team with just a $15 budget.

If you spend enough time on basketball-related social media accounts, you have probably run into these quizzes where you can build a team of superstars who cost $1-$5 with a $15 budget.
The point guard laid out his lineup in a segment for FanDuel TV, saying:
"LeBron [James] at the one. [Michael Jordan] at the two... I got $5 left... Give me Scottie [Pippen] at the three. I got $3 left? ... Give me [Anthony Davis] at the four and Wilt [Chamberlain] at the five."
The one thing that stands out immediately about Williams' team is the incredible size. LeBron James is one of the greatest players of all-time because he could play both guard and forward postions. Here, Williams makes him a point guard, taking advantage of his height and sublime passing ability.
Michael Jordan pops into the position he played with the Bulls at shooting guard. While he will provide plenty of offense, MJ was also an elite defender, capable of erasing the other team's top-scoring wing.
If Jordan wasn't busy d'ing up the other team's top scoring wing, then this team's 3, Scottie Pippen, could get the job done.
Anthony Davis and Wilt Chamberlain were athletic freaks who were separated by five decades. But they were the same kind of player, creating such a mismatch with their athletic ability that teams just had to assume thye'd be giving up 25 points to them a night.
