Draymond Names His Favorite NBA Player to Watch Right Now, HIs Answer is Shocking
Sep 11, 2025
Draymond Green is always going to be honest. Whether you like it or not, Green is a straight shooter, and when he asks a basketball-related question, he is going to give you a thoughtful and real answer. That is probably why he is expected to have a successful career on TV after his NBA career ends.
For now, Draymond is still trying to win championships with Stephen Curry.

That still hasn’t stopped him from starting his media career. His most recent appearance was with a famous livestreamer, Kai Cenat. On Cenat’s livestream, Draymond was asked who his favorite player to watch was.
"My favorite is Shai [Gilgeous-Alexander]. Because Shai, he's just going to get you a bucket. People be complaining like, 'Yo, he's drawing fouls.' But that's a skill. There is an art to that. If you're a dumb defender and you foul, that's your fault. That's no knock to him that he knows how to get fouled."
This is a somewhat surprising statement from Green. Always the competitor, to name a Western Conference rival as his favorite player to watch is a bit shocking. That being said, naming the Finals MVP as your favorite player to watch isn’t all that controversial.
What is interesting is that he praises SGA’s foul baiting. Draymond surely respects gamemanship, but he always hated James Harden’s style of playing for fouls. Now it seems like he’s changed his tune.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, the reason he can criticize Harden in the past and complement SGA in the present is that the Warriors aren’t competing for championships against the Oklahoma City Thunder. At least not recently.
If the Warriors put together an incredible season and have to face off against Oklahoma late in the playoffs, you can be sure Draymond won’t be so buddy-buddy with SGA.
