NBA Insider Reveals Chicago Bulls Official Offer to Josh Giddey
Aug 11, 2025
Josh Giddey flashed superstar potential this past season with the Chicago Bulls, but coming into the offseason, he was aware that he still needed a new contract with the team. Reportedly, the young guard was demanding $30 million or more per season, but unsurprisingly, it doesn't appear that a deal of that magnitude will be coming from the Bulls this summer.
There's been some speculation about a potential deal that will be reached between the two, and now NBA Insider Jake Fischer has revealed the Bulls' latest offer to Giddey.
According to Fischer, the Bulls' offer to Giddey was four years, $80 million, coming in well below the $30 million AAV asking price of the young Australian guard. It's unclear what types of conversations have been had over Giddey's future and whether or not this was simply a starting offer, but given his potential, it's unlikely that Giddey will end up taking this deal.

Over his four-year career thus far, Giddey has averaged 14 points, 8 boards, and 6 assists, and after flashing star potential in 2024-25 with Chicago, it's easy to see why he's demanding the money that he is. However, the Bulls have some intriguing young talents in Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu that they need to pay as well, so it makes sense that they're not willing to give out superstar money to everyone.
Ultimately, Giddey has shown that he can be a fantastic player in the NBA, and if his shooting can improve, he can be a legitimate All-Star caliber player, but as of right now, all signs point to a bridge deal coming in at less than $25 million per season.
