Bleacher Report's Top 100 Players List is Released Before the 2025-26 NBA Season
Oct 16, 2025
The 2025–26 NBA season is about to start. So, of course, every media outlet needs to make its list of the top 100 players entering the season. This causes much debate, and Bleacher Report’s Top 100 Players List is no exception.
There are tons of spots on the Bleacher Report list that could be debated, but we’re going to analyze the top 10.
The top 4 are undeniable. Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Luka Doncic are the four best players in the NBA. The most controversial part of the top 10 is Victor Wembanyama’s placement at number six.

“Wembanyama, now listed at 7'5," moves in a way most big men five or six inches shorter can't. He slides his feet like a wing. He shoots jumpers from angles most guards won't even try. And he doesn't sacrifice the benefits of his length for his size-defying skill and athleticism. No one in the NBA covers more ground and deters more would-be scorers on defense.”
While Wembanyama is undoubtedly amazing, having a player who has only played one full NBA season ranked that high may be a stretch. Wembanyama has never played in the playoffs. That being said, the best version of Wemby is a top 5 guy. The question is whether he can stay healthy and hit that ceiling.
LeBron James may also be ranked too high on this list. At 40 years old, James is still one of the best players in the league. However, he is slow on the defensive end, can’t carry a full season's worth of production, and is generally a few steps slower than he used to be.
On any given night, he could be the eighth-best player in the league (where he is ranked on B/R’s list). However, on average, he is probably more like the 15th-best.
