Anonymous NBA Execuive States That the Sacramento Kings Should Trade for Darius Garland

The Cleveland Cavaliers were one of the NBA's best teams a season ago, and while they struggled in the NBA Playoffs, they still finished as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference on the back of an incredibly dominant regular season. As a result, there's been plenty of suggestion around the league that they may need to make a big change, but this summer, they instead added to the roster, picking up Lonzo Ball as they look to have another great season.
However, one NBA executive believes there's a big move this team can make, stating that they should look to trade Darius Garland. Not only that, but the anonymous executive revealed that they should consider moving him to the Sacramento Kings, naming Malik Monk as a key piece they should target in a potential deal.
“I think they need to trade Darius. That backcourt is too small with him and Donovan (Mitchell). I love the Lonzo (Ball) trade. If I were Kenny (Atkinson), I would start Lonzo, Donovan, De’Andre (Hunter), Evan (Mobley), and Jarrett (Allen), and trade Darius. Sacramento was interested in him before getting Dennis (Schroder) from Detroit. Maybe call them up and see if they want Darius for like Malik (Monk) and salary filler.”
At first, the idea seems ridiculous, but the biggest issue in Cleveland is their size, and with the team unlikely to move Donovan Mitchell, trading Garland isn't the worst idea, but with the regular season just a few weeks away, it's highly unlikely to happen.
