The Golden State Warriors suffered a rough loss on Wednesday night. After leading for most of the night against the Houston Rockets, the Warriors weren’t able to hold on and eventually lost the game 104–100. This marked their fourth loss in their last five games. The Warriors are not in a great spot.
Despite being able to attribute much of the Warriors' 10–10 record (8th seed in the Western Conference) to their gauntlet of a schedule to start the season, the Warriors cannot be satisfied with their subpar start.

Veterans Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler both voiced their frustrations after the team’s loss to Houston.
Butler voiced his gripe with the team’s lack of focus and hustle. He said, “We don’t box out. We don’t go with the scouting report. We let anybody do whatever they want - open shots, get into the paint, free throws. It’s just sad.”
While Draymond didn’t mince words about what he thought was the biggest issue on the team.
“Our defense is [expletive]... We are individually—I know everyone likes to twist words—I said WE are individually [expletive] awful.”
Both Green and Butler are talking about things that run much deeper than a quick fix. Not being able to follow the scouting report, not putting in full effort rebounding or defending, and just not having the defensive talent and personnel to compete with the best teams are all core issues.
It seems like the Warriors’ veterans are done with the current iteration of the roster. Could they be in the front office’s ears, trying to get some trades done? If the Warriors don’t make any changes, they could be in for a long and disappointing season.
