Ty Lue Discusses Clippers' Struggles So Far This Season

The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the most disappointing teams of the still-early NBA season. They had a team full of stars (or former stars) that were hoping to build on their strong end to last season. For whatever reason, those pieces haven't fit this season, and the Clippers are looking at the bottom of the lottery more than they're looking at the top of the playoff seeding.

This is a huge problem as the Clippers owe their draft pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder this season.

Clippers coach Tyronn Lue discussed what has gone on this season and why he believes the Clippers have been struggling.

"When we first came into the season, we thought we had a great team, we thought we had a great chance. And so when you lose Bradley Beal, when you lose Kawhi, you lose Derrick Jones, you lose Bogie, things can get hard. And so they have been hard for us…But now we gotta figure out what we wanna do, how we wanna get out of this rut. Our guys have taken a step in the right direction, putting it in the time."

It’s true that injuries have been a major factor for the Clippers so far this season. But what did you expect? They are one of the oldest teams in the league, and their roster is full of injury-prone players.

In the NBA, there are no excuses. Some teams have injuries and make the most of them by showcasing their other talent and becoming deeper teams. Some free-fall like the Clippers.
