Bucks Are Telling Teams that Giannis is Not Available for Trade

There are a ton of NBA trade rumors swirling. None is bigger than those around Giannis Antetokounmpo. The two-time MVP and still top-5 player in the league has been in Milwaukee his whole career. However, some people believe that his time with the Bucks is nearing an end as they haven’t been able to surround him with a championship-caliber roster.

While everyone is talking about possible Giannis trade ideas, there has not been an official trade request made. That being said, multiple NBA insiders believe that Giannis will make his hopes known any day now.

Marc Stein of The Stein Report says the Bucks aren’t even listening to Giannis trade offers.

“As trade season draws close, everyone is talking about Giannis. Even though — and I want to underline this — the Bucks continue to tell teams: 'He’s not available. We don’t want your trade pitches.' So, it’s this weird deal where the Bucks keep shouting into the wind: 'Listen to us! We don’t want to talk trades with you about Giannis Antetokounmpo!' And the rest of the league just ignores it and obsesses about him."

This is a very interesting situation. Multiple reports indicate that Giannis and his team are going to work with the Bucks to figure out the next steps.

This new report indicates the opposite. If the Bucks aren’t even willing to listen to offers, are they going to hold onto Giannis regardless of his wishes?

Until we figure out what Giannis wants, this may just all be irrelevant. Giannis will be able to determine his future. The Bucks don’t want this potential separation to end badly. They will also want to maximize the value they can get in a trade. So if Giannis wants out, they should start listening to calls.
