The Good, Bad and Ugly of Week 7 of the 2025-26 Season
Dec 8, 2025
If you blinked during Week 7, you missed a legend climbing the all-time scoring list, a promising team completely falling apart, and one of the league's biggest stars potentially on the move. Let's break it down.
The Good:

James Harden officially cracked the top 10 all-time scoring list this week, passing Carmelo Anthony with 28,290 career points. At 36 years old, the Clippers guard is still averaging nearly 27 points per game and showing no signs of slowing down. What makes it even more impressive is how he got there, not by flying through the air like Jordan, Kobe, or LeBron, but by playing "everything on the ground," as Harden put it. His combination of crafty footwork, deadly step-backs, and an ability to draw contact has made him unstoppable in his prime. He joins James and Kevin Durant as the only active players in the top 10, and he's just 307 points behind Shaq for ninth place. Not bad for a guy who came off the bench in his first three seasons.
The Bad:

Remember when the Bulls started 5–0? Yeah, those were the days. Chicago has now lost six straight, to the Pelicans, Hornets, Pacers, Magic, Nets, and Warriors, and are 2–8 in their last ten games. Four of these teams have worse records than Chicago, making the skid even more embarrassing. The Bulls have dropped below .500, with their offense completely stalling out. Even worse, the Bulls lead the league with 65% of their three-point attempts being wide open, yet they're bricking them at an alarming rate. When you're getting good looks and still can't buy a bucket, that's a crisis.
The Ugly:

Just when the Bucks were trying to salvage their season, Giannis strained his calf, potentially missing weeks, while trade rumors and meetings with the front office swirl around him. Milwaukee sits below playoff position, and now their two-time MVP is hurt and reportedly discussing whether his best fit is elsewhere. The timing couldn't be worse, with Giannis averaging 30 points while playing elite defense, but the team's struggles and his injury could derail everything. If he ends up getting traded mid-season, it would be the second blockbuster trade in back-to-back seasons.
