Doc Rivers Calls Out The NBA's Top Insider In Latest Interview

Doc Rivers has been firmly in the spotlight in recent times, and given his struggles as a team with the Milwaukee Bucks, unfortunately for the veteran Head Coach, it hasn't all been for good reasons. Recently, Rivers hinted that his retirement could be coming soon, and with the way he's handled the Bucks this season, it's easy to see why there's been plenty of backlash for his tenure with the team.

Following all of this, a report from Shams Charania came out that Rivers was telling his players to google him during a meeting, a move that wasn't received very well by the locker room in Milwaukee. However, Rivers has now fired back at ESPN's top insider, even going as far to ask where his predecessor went, a complaint that many in the NBA community echo as well.

“Shams wrote an article that was so inaccurate. The first thing I thought was ‘Where’s Woj?’ I miss Woj so much.”

Potentially, this could just be Doc looking to cover for himself as he may be looking to head into retirement, but given the nature of the report, it's easy to see why he may have taken offense to what Charania wrote.

Since taking over as ESPN's top insider, Charania has taken plenty of criticism, and while Rivers may just be sticking up for himself here against a report that made him look bad, it's safe to say that he's not the only one that feels this way.
