Paolo Banchero Reveals Thoughts Whether His NBA 2K26 Rating Is Deserved or Too Low

Paolo Banchero is quickly becoming one of the best young stars in the NBA. The Orlando Magic are poised to have a huge year, and Paolo Banchero is probably ready to make another All-Star game. He could even play himself into the All-NBA mix.

In Banchero’s third season in the league, he saw his scoring average jump from 22.6 to 25.9 and his rebounding average go from 6.9 to 7.5 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, his great season was shortened by an injury. He only played in 46 games. Still, Banchero showed that he is ready to be one of the best players in the NBA.

Paolo Banchero’s NBA 2k26 rating reflects the fact that he is still not fully proven as a superstar but has shown that he is ready to become one. Banchero admitted that he has some thoughts about his NBA 2k26 rating in a recent interview with Chet Holmgren.

“I’m definitely not happy with my rating, cause it’s the same as last year…I’m not mad at it though. I think my ratings like 89.  if I go out and kill next year, it’s going to go up… I ain’t mad that it’s a 89 but I definitely think it should be higher.”

Paolo’s opinion on his own NBA 2k26 rating is pretty reasonable. He isn’t exactly satisfied that he isn’t in the upper echelon of ratings, but he understands it. Paolo knows that he hasn’t fully reached his potential. When he does, his 2k rating is likely to shoot up. It sounds like from Banchero’s comments that not only does he plan to get better but he expects his 2k rating to reflect his future growth.
