Reporter Believes Warriors Are Candidates to Trade for One of These All-Star Centers

The Golden State Warriors aren’t exactly where they’d like to be. As of Wednesday, they are 9–7, which isn’t terrible but is only good enough for the 8th seed in the Western Conference. Finishing the season as the 8th seed is just not good enough. The Warriors were hoping to be contenders after trading for Jimmy Butler. Now they are looking like they could be bound for the Play-In Tournament.
That’s why some Warriors trade rumors have started to pick up. With a lot of players being eligible to be traded starting December 15, the Warriors are certainly going to start having conversations about how they can improve their team.

Evan Sidery of Forbes recently reported that the Warriors could be interested in two of the hottest pieces on the NBA trade market.
“The all-in Warriors will be a team to monitor ahead of the trade deadline.
Golden State needs to take another big swing on the market to vault into legit contender status.
Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis have been floated around in league circles as potential trade targets.”
The Warriors would love to pick up another big piece to try to put the team back on track for title contention. However, these might be too big pieces to fit in.
For one, the Warriors will have trouble coming up with enough salary to trade for either of these players. To get either AD or Sabonis, they’d probably need to include either Draymond Green or Jimmy Butler in the deal.
That’s why the Warriors probably won’t land either of these stars. Swapping one of their current stars for AD or Sabonis just isn’t the Warriors' style. If they are going to make a trade before this season’s deadline, it will be on the margins.
