New York Knicks Seeking Major Reunion Ahead of the Trade Deadline

The New York Knicks front office has made immense change since taking over, and for the most part, it's led to one of the biggest revival's in NBA history. This team has gone from the laughing stock of the league to a genuine threat in the Eastern Conference, with the belief being that this is their year to make it back to the NBA Finals.

Last season, they made a blockbuster deal to acquire Karl-Anthony Towns, but given their chances in the East this season, they're once again looking to upgrade as the 2025/26 season rolls along. Now, they may be looking to land a piece that they sent to Minnesota in that deal, with reports from Clutch Points revealing they have interest in Donte Divincenzo.

“League sources tell ClutchPoints that the Knicks have had exploratory discussions with two Western Conference teams about potential trades, with New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo at the center of various proposals.”

This would be a major reunion for New York, as Divincenzo starred in the 2024 NBA Playoffs, making some of the biggest shots in Knicks history despite the team being eliminated in the second round by the Indiana Pacers.

Following the trade, many Knicks fans hoped the team would find a way to bring him back, and while they've got interest in other upgrades at the guard position, if Divincenzo is available to be acquired, it's a move that would make perfect sense.
