New York Knicks Big Man Could Make Season Debut This Weekend
Oct 31, 2025
Coming into the 2025–25 NBA season, the New York Knicks consider themselves major contenders, especially in an Eastern Conference that has been decimated by injury, with the team already proving they can take their game to a new level in the playoffs. However, the team has been banged up themselves early in the year, with Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart especially battling through injuries as the team has begun the new season 2–2.
Now, they'll be getting a major boost, as it appears as though Mitchell Robinson will make his season debut over the weekend, with the team sorely needing his defensive presence and rim protection.
Without Robinson, the Knicks have struggled for an interior presence against some very tough competition, but as they continue to get healthy, there's optimism that they can be a true contender this season.

Throughout his career with the Knicks, Robinson has been a solid force on both the offensive and defensive glass, and with his versatility as a defender, this is a player the Knicks desperately need healthy in 2025–26. Over the past two years, Robinson has played in a total of just 48 regular-season games, but upon seeing his impact in the postseason, especially against the Boston Celtics, he has proven he can be a difference-maker at both ends.
Now, the team is hopeful that he can remain healthy throughout the upcoming season, and with the depth and versatility they've got in the lineup around them, it's NBA Finals or bust for New York in 2025–26.
