New Warriors Acquisition Calls New Teammate His GOAT

The Golden State Warriors finally got a win! After losing five straight games, many in disappointing fashion, the Warriors were able to end their losing streak with a solid win against the Washington Wizards.

The biggest story of the Warriors’ win was the play of newly acquired center Kristaps Porzingis. Porzingis had an incredible game against his former team, dropping 30 points with five rebounds and four assists. He also had two seals and three blocks in the game.

The flashes that Porzingis showed on Monday night have Warriors fans excited. Many are starting to imagine what the team will look like with Stephen Curry back in the lineup, especially if Porzingis continues to stay healthy.

Kristaps Porzingis was asked what he felt about hopefully getting to play alongside Stephen Curry soon.

“Oh man, this is the GOAT. You know what I mean? To play with somebody like that, it’s gonna be unbelievable. Obviously, from playing against him, I know what type of player he is and the gravity he brings. It just opens everything up for everybody else. So hopefully, he will be back with us soon.”

Playing with a player like Steph is special. Some stars are incredible, but they don’t really make their teammates' lives that much easier. This is the opposite of Steph. When Steph is on the court, his gravity alone makes life easier for everyone he plays with. On top of that, Curry is one of the few superstars that doesn’t require the ball to be in their hands to hurt the other team. This is the type of player that Porzingis could thrive next to.

Porzingis should be praising Steph. There are a lot of easy baskets in Porzingis’ future if he can stay on Curry’s good side.
