NBA-Vet Juan Toscano-Anderson To Play in Italy Next Year

Juan Toscano-Anderson, who has played multiple seasons in the NBA, will play the upcoming season in Italy.

The news about Toscano-Anderson's new deal was shared online by Iacopo De Santis, who wrote on his X account:

"Juan Toscano-Anderson, who won the 2022 NBA title with the Golden State Warriors, is heading to Italy. He has signed with Pallacanestro Trieste, that will also play in the BCL next season. (Il Piccolo)."

Toscano-Anderson was well-loved in NBA locker rooms thanks to his fight to make the league. He went undrafted out of Marquette in 2015, and played in professional leagues in Mexico and Venezuela.

The forward's play in other leagues was enough to get him a look in the G League where he played multiple seasons for Santa Cruz. In 2020, he signed a three-year deal with the Golden State Warriors and would join the team's rotation, averaging 20 minutes per game.

Toscano-Anderson would have some more achievements during his time with the Warriors. In 2022, he competed in the NBA Slam Dunk Championship, becoming the first player of Mexican descent to do so. The forward would also win a championship ring in the same year, appearing in 14 games for the Warriors over the course of their playoff run.

Between 2022 and 2024, Toscano-Anderson would play for three more teams; the Utah Jazz, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Sacremento Kings. In 2024, Toscano-Anderson played in Mexico for the Mexico City Capitanes. Now he will be plying his trade in Italy.
