NBA Reporter Reveals The Two Teams That The NBA Could Potentially Look At Relocating

Adam Silver's NBA has brought plenty of good and bad to the league, and while he won't be remembered as fondly as David Stern, it's safe to say that he's introduced plenty of new ideas to the NBA as Commissioner.

One thing that many expect him to add in the near future is a new team or two, as NBA expansion has long been a hot topic, with Vegas and Seattle named as two potential destinations for a new NBA franchise. As of right now, we've not heard any concrete discussions about expansion happening in the near future, but with the increase in talent and the clear profits that this would bring in, it's a matter of when, not if.

Now, Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix has revealed a potentially different conversation, revealing that both the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies have been named as teams that could possibly be relocated by the NBA.

Clearly, the Seattle and Vegas markets are bigger than both Memphis and New Orleans, and while expansion remains a possibility, if the NBA want to stay at 30 teams exactly, these are two that could potentially be moved to make that happen. Mannix states that as of right now, nothing concrete has happened within the NBA's front office regarding relocation or expansion, but with both these teams struggling for success and attendance, as well as having short-term arena deals, they're two teams to keep an eye on moving forward.
