Milwaukee Bucks Reportedly Inquired About Landing Miami Heat Star Andrew Wiggins via Trade

The Milwaukee Bucks once again disappointed in the NBA Playoffs this past season, and with Giannis Antetokounmpo's future up in the air, they needed to improve in a big way this offseason. They did just that when they acquired Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers via free agency, and with Damian Lillard moving on, many expected more moves to come.

Now we know of one move they tried to make, as Brett Siegel has reported that the team was interested in landing Andrew Wiggins from the Miami Heat. Obviously, a deal hasn't been done yet, as the Heat were looking for an impact player and a first-round pick in the near future—a combination that the Bucks clearly couldn't offer.

“The Heat were willing to deal Wiggins if they received an instant impact player, along with an upcoming first-round pick before 2028”

Now the Bucks will head into the season with Antetokounmpo, Turner, and Kyle Kuzma as the three best players on their roster, making it easy to see why they were targeting Wiggins in a trade.

Between Golden State and Miami a year ago, Wiggins was highly productive, averaging 18 points, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds, and with many questioning the Heat's plans moving forward, he could be traded again soon. This is certainly a story to keep an eye on moving forward, as the Bucks will be aggressive in adding to this current roster, and with the Heat's roster being highly questionable, there's a good chance that Wiggins could be available soon.
