Kelly Oubre Lashes Out At Philadelphia 76ers Fans Following Recent Reports
Sep 10, 2025
In recent days, reports came out that the Philadelphia 76ers are looking to move on from two veterans as they aim to lock in guard Quentin Grimes on a multi-year deal. One of those players is forward Kelly Oubre Jr., who has been very productive for the Sixers in recent years, but with the team looking to get younger, it appears that there's just not a role for him anymore.
Unfortunately for the player, fans have seemingly turned on him, and he has started to fell that, lashing out on social media at those fans that have started talking negatively about them.
"I love Philly, but the love doesn't seem to be reciprocated. What happened to this place?
And for those saying I'm garbage because my 3% went down, still put up numbers and I'd still cook you. I play through finger surgeries on my left thumb and pinky for three years. But still put my soul in this s**t. That's one thing only GOD can take from me. Hope to see y'all soon. God speed."
At this point in time, it's highly likely that the relationship with the Sixers, Oubre and the team fans has been broken beyond repair, and with the team likely to move on from him, it's not going to be a very positive split.

Last season, Oubre put up 15 points and 6 boards a night for Philly, showing that he can still get it done, and while he's definitely got an injury history, the Sixers loss will be another teams gain if they move on from him.
