Kevin Durant Takes Jab At Tee Morant Over His Son's Future In Memphis

Over the past few weeks, much has been made of Ja Morant's future with the Memphis Grizzlies, and given the tensions behind the scenes, many feel it's just a matter of time until things truly change with this team. It's unclear exactly what has happened to change Morant's feelings on the team after spending his entire career in Memphis, but ultimately, it feels as though it's a matter of when, not if he's moved.

That's something that Kevin Durant brought up when he was playing the Grizzlies on Wednesday night, as he addressed all of the speculation with Morant's father Tee court side.

“Your son don’t wanna be here, we know it’s your last weekend. Enjoy your time."

Clearly, Durant is just having some fun with Tee, but as of right now, it's unclear if a trade of Morant is coming as soon as this weekend like Durant speculates, with the team likely wanting to wait a little to see how the season plays out. A recent report surrounding Morant has revealed he barely speaks to his Head Coach during games, and given their 3-6 start to the season, it wouldn't be a surprise if both the team and Morant want a fresh start to this entire situation.

Ultimately, it's likely in the best interest of both parties to move on from one another, and with Morant still playing at a high level, a trade could change the trajectory of the franchise in Memphis, but for now, only time will tell how this all plays out.
