Chicago Bulls Officially Fire Top Two Executives

The Chicago Bulls have been a middling team in the Eastern Conference for years now, and even with the chance to land some stars in the NBA Draft, they aren't a team that's been able to take a significant step forward. In 2025/26, things have gone much the same way, as the team currently sits at 29-49 and has officially been eliminated from the playoffs as they are in 12th place in the East.

This isn't just a one-year struggle, as the Bulls have not finished the regular season better than 9th just once during the era of VP of Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas and General Manager Marc Eversley. The duo were hired in 2020 in hopes that they could turn around a long stretch of mediocrity, but unfortunately, their record since that point sits at 188-191, and that's simply not enough to get it done in the NBA.

As a result, the Bulls made a drastic move on Monday, officially firing both of their most important front office members, with the organization ready to shake things up in a big way.

On paper, this Bulls roster remains a very solid one, with Josh Giddey seemingly their PG of the future while they have other pieces, but unfortunately, they've failed to land that elite offensive player needed to take them to the next level.

Ultimately, the Bulls needed a change, and whether that change extends to Billy Donovan as head coach, only time will tell, but for now, their ownership group is ready to make the massive change necessary to turn things around.
