LeBron James Addresses Victor Wembanyama's Potential In The NBA

Over his 23 years in the NBA, LeBron James has seen every talented young player come and go, and in that time, we've seen a number of draft prospects labelled as 'generational'. Some come into the NBA and find moderate success while others fail on a massive scale, but one player who has beaten both of those outcomes at the age of 22 is Victor Wembanyama, who has established himself already as an elite level player on both ends of the floor.

While not yet seen as the best player in the NBA, for many, it's a matter of when, not if Wembanyama is the face and the MVP of the NBA, with the potential to go down as an all-time great if he can stay healthy over the next 15 years. Now, LeBron James has commented on Wemby's potential, and it's safe to say that he's very happy he doesn't have to share his prime with the young French superstar.

“I’m glad I won’t be in the league when it arrives. I’m glad I can watch and figure out what time my tee time is tomorrow.”

Already at 22-years of age, Wembanyama averages 25 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists per game, and while there's plenty to improve upon, it's only a matter of time until he's seen as the best player in the NBA.

For two decades, James has been the face of the NBA, and while Wemby may not be seen as that by the fans, given comments from his peers, it's safe to say that they know how special he's going to be for a long, long time.
