Jeff Teague Makes Startling Revelation About LeBron James
Oct 27, 2025
For the most part, Jeff Teague and his “Club 520” buddies have a fun time on their podcast. Every now and then, though, Teague gets into more serious subject matter that keeps his listeners on the edge of their seats.
In a recent episode of “Club 520,” the former NBA guard decided to peel back the curtain on one of the league’s most iconic stars. If Teague is to be believed, LeBron James and his camp take certain measures to control the media narrative surrounding the King.
“Any time you say anything about Bron, people call you and say, ‘You might want to chill. You got some fun stories and s***. Leave LeBron alone,” Teague claimed.
Teague, who started his podcast in 2023, recalled that he had to take an apologetic tone after he supposedly faced pressure from James’ camp. “They run the league! How does his whole camp run the league?” Teague wondered out loud.
He then brought up the name of Rich Paul, LBJ’s longtime friend and agent, who has been instrumental in James’ professional and financial growth. In 2012, Paul founded Klutch Sports, an agency that has come to represent the likes of Anthony Davis, Lonzo Ball, and another well-known James buddy in Draymond Green.
Teague’s co-host, DJ Wells, did not mince words when it came to describing James and Paul’s business. “That’s one of the most covert operations in NBA history,” Wells boldly asserted.

Is there merit to the comments made by Teague and Wells? While Teague didn’t offer more evidence to back his claim about James’ camp, media personalities like Stephen A. Smith have called out LBJ in the past for pushing the narrative about his legacy.
When Davis was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in the blockbuster deal that brought Luka Doncic to the Lakers, some basketball personalities questioned the official story of James not having any prior knowledge of the trade. Former players like Matt Barnes and Andray Blatche expressed their doubt about the notion that an influential figure like James would be completely oblivious to this deal.
Of course, top stars like James can afford a consultant or two who can help them out with public relations. Fans might never know if Teague’s story about the James camp is accurate, but there’s no denying that the King has proven himself adept at self-depiction.
