Jared McCain Set To Return For The 76ers On Tuesday Night

The Philadelphia 76ers are off to a red-hot start in 2025/26, going 5-1 through their first six games led by the exciting young duo of VJ Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey. With the veteran leadership of Paul George and Joel Embiid to give this team some great depth, despite entering the season as a wild card in the Eastern Conference, they once again look like a genuine contender.

Even with this start, this still isn't a team that's at 100%, but on Tuesday night, they'll be one step closer to having their entire rotation available. According to reports, 2024 first-round pick Jared McCain is set to make his season debut on Tuesday, with the team adding to the back court of Maxey, Edgecombe and Quentin Grimes.

While this is of course a positive, as McCain averaged 15 points a night across 23 games in his rookie campaign, it also gives them yet another piece in their back court, potentially messing up the chemistry and the minutes they've worked on thus far in 2025/26.

However, the team invested heavily in McCain over the past 18 months, and given the potential that he's shown already in the NBA, he needs to be a major piece for this organization moving forward. If the 76ers can balance all this young talent to go a long with the likes of George and Embiid though, there's no reason why this team can't be a genuine contender for top spot in the East this season.
