Former NBA Player Responds to Luka and JJ Redick's Sideline Beef

There has been a ton of talk recently about the Los Angeles Lakers. Just kidding, there’s always a ton of talk and attention around the Lakers. So much so that sometimes things that are happening with the Lakers become national news when it isn’t really news at all.

That might be the case with the recent viral video of JJ Redick and Luka Doncic. A video came out showing Luka and JJ getting into it on the sidelines during a recent Lakers game, and people are starting to wonder if there is trouble in Los Angeles.

Former NBA player Charlie Villanueva shared his opinions on what might be going on between Luka and JJ.

“That’s what they say with the Luka sh*t, the emotions get the best of him, always crying to the refs. But it’s a bad look when you are doing it to your coach, coach trying to talk to you, whether coach is right, wrong or whatever it is. You got to remember there is [expletive] 20 thousand people, and they got [expletive] cameras everywhere. You have to be mindful of that [expletive]. So if he took you out or you don’t like something, address him at halftime, address him after the game, address him the next day, or wherever it is.”

It’s true that getting into it with your coach publicly isn’t a great look. That being said, both JJ and Luka have fiery personalities, and this isn’t the first or last argument they will get in. Likely, it wasn’t a big deal to either of them, and the media is just making up excuses to talk more about the Lakers.
