Damian Lillard Shares Massive Plans For The 2027 Three-Point Contest
Feb 16, 2026
Despite being sidelined for, most likely, the entire 2025/26 NBA season, Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard competed in the 2026 NBA Three-Point Shooting contest, with the superstar Blazers guard showing up once again. Unsurprisingly, one of the best shooters of all time came away with the victory, marking his third in his career (2023, 2024, 2026), making him just the third player in league history alongside Craig Hodges and Larry Bird to win the event three times.
The competition this year was tough once again, but showing off his experience in the event, Lillard once again came up clutch, showing why he deserves to be considered a top-three 3-point shooter in league history. However, he wants to make it tougher on himself next year, and now he's revealed a message with Steph Curry that suggests the best in the league will compete in the event in 2027.
Obviously, many things could change between now and the 2027 All-Star event, but given how much these players know fans would love to see the best of the best face off in one single event, the hope is that this goes through the way these two are planning.

Ultimately, the NBA's All-Star weekend gained some momentum with the way things went down in 2026, and while fans aren't totally on board with the event yet, if we see the top names in this event, it will be must-see for any NBA fan in 2027.
