Viral Pic Shows Scottie Barnes Gassed As Raptors Seal Comeback Win Over Warriors
Dec 30, 2025
This past weekend, Scottie Barnes put forth an effort that was literally historic. Thanks to Barnes' relentless hustle on the boards, not to mention his prolific scoring, the Raptors scored a hard-fought 141–127 win over the Golden State Warriors.
If that sounds like hyperbole, all you need to do is look at this viral pic of the Raptors' main man:
That is the image of an athlete who is utterly spent after leading a furious comeback on Sunday night. While stat sheets don't always do justice to Barnes' impact on the floor, his numbers commanded the spotlight as he grabbed 25 rebounds to match Bismack Biyombo's single-game record for most boards in Raptors franchise history.
Among the many rebounds that Barnes pulled down in this weekend's showdown, none was more resounding than the offensive board that he grabbed with 24.5 seconds left in regulation. Off a Brandon Ingram miss, the one-time All-Star outmaneuvered Jimmy Butler in the paint and converted on a put-back to tie the game at 122.
Thanks to Barnes' relentlessness, the Raptors capped off a 9–2 run in the last 1:32 of the fourth quarter to put themselves in a position to win. In overtime, a balanced scoring effort from the likes of Ingram, Immanuel Quickley, and Ja'Kobe Walter sealed the deal for Toronto's comeback victory.

In terms of individual brilliance, Barnes was the star of the show in Toronto; along with setting a new career-high in rebounds, he collected his first triple-double of the season as he also put up 23 points and 10 assists. This is the seventh (but most definitely not the last) triple-double of Barnes' career.
On top of this, Barnes' stellar numbers have helped the Raptors improve to 20–14. In a highly competitive Eastern Conference, Toronto now occupies the fourth spot, staying a few steps ahead of other playoff contenders like the Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat.
The Raptors are in a good position to make noise in the postseason, and the all-around play of their go-to guy is paramount to their playoff aspirations. With Barnes averaging a career-high 8.5 rebounds per game, Toronto continues to be fueled by grit and hustle as they look to secure their first playoff trip in four years.
