Two Knicks Stars Open Up On Being Booed By The MSG Crowd

After reaching the Eastern Conference Finals a year ago, the New York Knicks and their fans believed they were so close to an NBA Championship run. After that success, the team decided to move on from Tom Thibodeau, turning to former Kings head coach Mike Brown, and early on in the 2025–26 season, things were looking good, especially after they ended up winning the third-ever NBA Cup.

Unfortunately, things have gone sideways in recent times, with the team going just 2–8 in their 10 games played in 2026 thus far, capped off by a brutal loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. Following the game, the Knicks were booed by many in the crowd, and at this point in time, Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns couldn't blame fans for it.

“I would be booing us, too. Straight up.”

"You spend $140 to represent your favorite player with a jersey. You come to MLK Day here at The Garden, and tickets are 3 times the price. I'd be disappointed too."

While this team is still loaded with talent, they've completely fallen apart over the past month, and given their lofty goals coming into 2025–26, it's easy to see as of right now why fans are so disappointed.

On paper, this team has the lineup to be a true contender in the East, but with their players now admitting that the fans had a right to be disappointed with them, it's only a matter of time until something changes with this franchise.
