Steve Kerr Gives Promising Stephen Curry Injury Update

The Golden State Warriors are trying to keep their heads above water. This season has been a revolving door of bad injury luck, and the Warriors' record is starting to show it. Early in the year, when it was mainly just role players missing time, the Warriors survived. Even after Jimmy Butler went down with a torn ACL, the Warriors were able to linger above .500 and stay relevant in the Western Conference playoff race. That’s all before Stephen Curry missed more than 10 straight games with his own knee injury.

What’s become clear over Curry’s absence is that the Warriors need him back soon if they don’t want to fall to the bottom of the Play-In Tournament standings.

However, since the Warriors might not even be able to win much with Curry in the lineup, some fans are urging them to rest him and wait until next year.

Steve Kerr recently gave a Curry injury update that shut that idea down.

"Well, we expect him back. He's trending in the right direction. It's been a tricky injury. I think he'll be back for sure. We just don't know if it's going to be a week or two or whatever. It's a day-to-day process."

Curry is slowly ramping up to taking the court again. The Warriors probably can’t jump too many games up in the standings, but their goal is definitely to stay out of the two bottom spots in the Play-In Tournament. Getting him back in the next couple of weeks will be huge. Hopefully once he’s back in the mix, the Warriors can turn things around.
