New Report Reveals The Level Of Trade Interest In Zach Lavine Around the NBA

The Sacramento Kings are off to a very slow start thus far in the 2025–26 season, and with their veteran-laden team having very little direction moving forward, they may need to make some hard decisions in the coming months. Beyond Keegan Murray and Keon Ellis, this is a team with very little promise moving forward, and in a loaded Western Conference, they may consider making some big-time trades with this core group.

However, one player they may not be able to move is veteran guard Zach LaVine, with reporter Sam Amick recently revealing that the former Bulls guard has no trade interest around the league.

“I can’t tell you one team, with any certainty, that’s actively monitoring Zach LaVine with even the remote possibility of saying, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’ Maybe that team exists—I’m just not aware of it.”

Of course, things could change moving forward if LaVine gets off to a great start, but as of right now, the league knows what his potential is, and they aren’t interested in adding him. Through five games this season, LaVine has been the Kings' highest-scoring player with 29 points a game, but with the team going 1-4 in that time, it's clear that he can't impact winning as much as he once could.

It's an unfortunate turn for a player who was once considered one of the most exciting players in the league, but with so much new talent entering the league year after year, LaVine just doesn't make sense as a trade target for any team in the NBA.
