New Orleans Pelicans Official Asking Price For Herb Jones and Trey Murphy Revealed

The New Orleans Pelicans are off to another rough start in 2025–26, posting a record of 8–30 in their first 38 games of the new season. On the bright side for this Pelicans franchise, they've got plenty of young players that they can build around, but they've also got plenty of assets that they can move for more future assets.

All season long, they've been surrounded by trade speculation, with the likes of Zion Williamson, Trey Murphy III, and Herb Jones all potentially set to be traded at some point ahead of the trade deadline. Now, NBA reporter Brett Siegel has opened up on the latter two, revealing just how much the Pelicans front office is asking in trade talks for both Murphy and Jones.

According to Siegel, the team is looking for two unprotected first-round picks for each player, and while that may be a lot, if they can manage to get that for both players, it would be a major boost as they look to continue their rebuild.

This past NBA Draft, the Pelicans landed both Derik Queen and Jeremiah Fears, both of whom have become key starters for this team, and now, it appears as though both of them are key parts of New Orleans' future. On paper, if the team could land two picks for both players, it would be a major move for the organization and their future, but for now, we will simply have to wait and see what the offers for them are.
