NBA Insider Names Three Potential Landing Spots For Charlotte Hornets Star LaMelo Ball

LaMelo Ball has been one of the most exciting players in the NBA since arriving in the 2020 NBA Draft, showing that he can find individual success in the league in many different ways. Unfortunately, this has led to very little success for the Charlotte Hornets, a team that appears to be growing frustrated with Ball, with many accusing the young point guard of not taking basketball and the NBA seriously enough.

That has led to plenty of trade speculation, with the team potentially looking to move on from Ball and build around young rookie Kon Knueppel, who has been off to a red-hot start in his first NBA career. It's unclear as of right now if that has become a discussion within the organization or just speculation from the outside, but now, NBA Insider Brett Siegel has revealed three landing spots for Ball if he were to be dealt.

According to Siegel, Minnesota, Sacramento and New Orleans, all three in the Western Conference are potential landing spots for the 24-year old, with all three seeking young point guards that can grow with their team. These teams are very different however, as the Kings and Pelicans would look for Ball to join their rebuild, while Minnesota would hope he could step in alongside Anthony Edwards to contribute to an NBA contender.

We've yet to see enough of the Ball, Brandon Miller, Knueppel core in Charlotte to say that the Hornets would be be better off moving their young point guard, but if the offers come in, it wouldn't surprise anyone to see the team consider moving Ball.
