LeBron James Comments on the Potential He Coaches in the NBA One Day

At 40-years of age, LeBron James is still going strong in the NBA, and while there's been hints of retirement, as of right now, there's nothing solid to reveal when his NBA career will come to an end. Beyond his career, there have been many suggestions about James' next moves, with many believing that he'll either pursue a role as a coach or an owner, potentially of a new franchise in Las Vegas or Seattle.

Now, James has addressed the former, revealing that he has no intention of pursuing a role in coaching within the NBA once he's officially announced his retirement.

Given his immense IQ and leadership, many believe that it would be a natural fit for one of the games all-time great players, but as of right now, he's simply not interested. That does make some sense however, as this would require James to be on the same grind that he has been on for the last 22 years, making it likely that James wants to find a different challenge beyond retirement.

The one role that is believed to be a fit for James is the owner of the NBA's next expansion franchise, as his business decisions over his career have put him in the perfect situation to push for a role as an owner. It's unclear exactly when the next franchise will join the NBA, as the widely held expectation is that James will have some part in that, but for now, all we know is that he has no interest in being an NBA coach.
