Giannis Antetokounmpo Addresses The Increasing Trade Speculation Linking Him To The Knicks

This offseason was a very interesting one for the Milwaukee Bucks, with the team adding the likes of Myles Turner and Cole Anthony to a very talented squad. Of course, the leader of this team remains two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, but over the summer, plenty of speculation surrounded his future in Milwaukee.

For the most part, it was reported that the New York Knicks were his top destination, and ahead of their matchup on Tuesday night, it was clearly personal. After the game, in which Giannis put up an incredible 37–8–7, he addressed the speculation, stating that the outside noise doesn't concern him too much.

“I don’t remember that. Right now, I’m here representing my team. And that’s it. We beat the Knicks. That’s all. Doesn’t really matter. What matters right now is we have a game in two days against Golden State, try to stay locked in and get two in a row.

But I didn’t read that article. I try to stay away from all those rumors and speculation and trades and all this. It doesn’t concern me one bit.”

While it may not concern him, it clearly motivated the Bucks superstar as he led them to the 121–111 victory, and while his future beyond 2025–26 is uncertain, he's committed to Milwaukee for now. Ultimately, if he is moved, it could change the entire landscape of the NBA, and while the report may not concern him, if the Knicks come calling once again, there's a chance that he may end up in the Garden in the coming years.
