Draymond Green Reveals Why Stephen Curry Won't Sit Out the Rest of the Season

The Golden State Warriors need Stephen Curry back in the lineup. He’s been out for over 25 games, and the Warriors have struggled. Now the season is almost over, and people are starting to wonder whether Curry would just hang things up and wait until next year.

The reports indicate that that won’t be the case. Curry has been ramping up his on-court activity and is expected to return against the Houston Rockets in just a few days.

Draymond Green went on his podcast and talked about why Curry would never get shut down prematurely.

“What I will tell you is, I don’t think Steph is getting shut down for the season. I do know that Steph is doing all that he can to get back. I do know that he’s progressing well on the court. And I do know that he’s very, very, very eager to get back out there. And what I can assure is whether it’s 1 regular season game, or 5 regular season games — Steph wants to play. And he’s going to do all that he can, he’s been doing all that he can, and things are really looking up. He’s doing a lot better. But I can assure yall that if Steph is capable playing, he’s going to play… So everybody saying, ‘Oh man just shut him down,’ he ain’t going for it. He wanna play. And he’s trying to get back for the play-in because you just don’t know how many opportunities at 38 you have left. Want to make the best out of every opportunity, so the one thing I can assure yall, there’s no shutdown coming for Steph.. at the moment. He wants to play.”

Curry has earned the respect to do what he wants. If he wants to come back, the Warriors won’t stop him.
