Chris Paul Reveals He Received A Nice Message From Blake Griffin After Re-Signing with the Clippers
Oct 6, 2025
This offseason, Chris Paul did what many people never expected him to do, and that was return to the Los Angeles Clippers as a free agent. Behind James Harden and Bradley Beal, CP3 helps make this team a genuine deep squad in the backcourt, with the organization hoping to make a run even in the loaded Western Conference this season.
Now, ahead of the regular season, Paul revealed something fantastic, noting that he got a nice message from Blake Griffin after he announced his return to LA.
“Man, it’s dope. It’s really dope… DJ, we still talk all the time. Even though JJ coach the Lakers, I still talk to him all the time. A lot of guys. Matt Barnes, Jamal Crawford, all us are still well connected. So it’s really dope to still have that bond with them guys.”
As has been well reported, the ending of the “Lob City Clippers” wasn't a pretty one, but according to Paul, the relationship he still has with people such as DeAndre Jordan and JJ Reddick is a good one.

During the era of the Lob City Clippers, they were one of the most dominant teams in the entire NBA, but unfortunately, their play style never lent itself to success in the NBA Playoffs. Now, Paul is back with a new group, and while he's looking to the future and the 2025-26 campaign, it's good to see that he and Griffin are on the same page.
