'I Would Have Boo'd Us Too'; Anthony Edwards Opens Up On Embarrassing Loss To The Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets have caused a few upsets as of late, and their latest win over the Minnesota Timberwolves officially gave them three victories in a row as they climb to 10–19 on the season. Unsurprisingly, though, these upsets have brought up plenty of frustration in their opponents, with Anthony Edwards the latest to deal with the upset.

After the 123–107 defeat at home, Edwards opened up on the fans at home booing him and the Timberwolves, admitting that they deserved it the way that they played.

"We got boo'd and sh*t by the fans today. I'm with the fans; I would have booed us too, but yeah, lack of energy. I don't know what's going on; I guess this is just Timberwolves basketball."

The defeat came despite Edwards posting 28 points and seven rebounds on the night, with the team as a whole shooting just 45% from the field as they allowed Brooklyn to shoot 55% on the day, falling short by 16 points.

Despite the loss, the Timberwolves are now sitting at 20–12 on the season, putting them right in the thick of the competition at the top of the Western Conference, but clearly, some frustration is now brewing following this loss. Ultimately, one upset doesn't mean the end of the season for Minnesota, as there's no doubting the team are still a major threat in the West, but if they don't fix some of the issues that led to this defeat, it could end up being another disappointing finish to the season.
