Draymond Reveals the One Teammate That Keeps Him in Check

Keeping Draymond Green in check is no easy task. Throughout Draymond’s NBA career, he’s shown insane amounts of passion and emotion while playing. Sometimes this is a benefit to his team. Other times, it is a huge detriment. While Draymond likes to walk the line, some people wonder if there is anyone in Golden State who can actually keep him in check.

Winning four championships, having multiple All-Star selections, and being one of the pillars of a franchise gives you a lot of leeway. The Warriors have certainly given Draymond tons of second chances after some pretty bad mistakes. But is Draymond running wild or is there someone who can help reel him in when he starts going off? Draymond recently revealed the one guy who always keeps him in check.

“Believe it or not — Steph. Steph is actually a very like, you know how some people hate tough conversations? Steph love tough conversations. Thrives in tough conversation moments, man. He will tell me, and like in a Steph way, he ain’t just gonna be like ‘Boom!’ but it remind me a lot of my grandfather. My grandfather say a million words and only said two but you get it. Steph is like that which is great.”

Steph has never been the most vocal leader; he likes to lead by example. However, when something needs to be said, Steph will say it. And, when Steph does decide to share his opinions on something, you'd better listen. So, while some think Draymond is over in Golden State doing and saying whatever he wants, that’s not necessarily true. At least Steph, Draymond’s longest-standing teammate, is able to get messages through to him.
