3-Team Warriors Trade Idea Brings Stephen Curry the Perfect Depth Pieces

The NBA trade rumors around the Warriors are getting louder and louder. Now that Jonathan Kuminga is eligible to be traded, the Warriors are officially shopping one of the most intriguing players on the trade market.

With these rumors, of course, come many NBA Trade Machine ideas for how to create a trade that sends out Kuminga and nets the Warriors some interesting new pieces.

One trade proposed by Blue Man Hoops’ Peter O’Keefe included three teams and brought the Warriors some pretty elite role players.

The trade looked like this:

Golden State Warriors receive: Onyeka Okongwu and Naji Marshall

Atlanta Hawks receive: Anthony Davis, Dante Exum, Trayce Jackson-Davis, and a Mavericks’ second-round pick

Dallas Mavericks receive: Kristaps Porzingis, Jonathan Kuminga, Luke Kennard, and a Warriors first-round pick

This trade would be a homerun for the Warriors. Grabbing solid young(er) players like Okongwu and Marshall would greatly improve their current roster and could give them some nice optionality for the future. They’d also only need to give up Kuminga, TJD, and their first-round pick next year to land them.

That’s only one of the reasons this trade is unlikely to happen. The Warriors are getting two nice pieces in this trade and aren’t really giving up that much. Another holdup might be the fact that with Anthony Davis’ recent injury, the Atlanta Hawks might not be so excited to trade for him.

In this situation, they are giving up Okongwu, Kennard, and Porzingis to get a hurt Davis. The Hawks probably won’t be too keen on making a move like this.
